Richard Leftley, President and Chief Executive Officer

Richard has served as President and CEO since the inception of the Micro Insurance Agency in 2005. He previously worked as a reinsurance broker for Benfield Grieg Ltd., the world's largest independent reinsurance brokerage group. Richard joined Opportunity International's Technical Services Division in January 2002 as Insurance Product Development Manager and Vice President of Product Development in which role he pioneered the introduction of insurance products within the Opportunity International Network.

Brad Williams, Chief Operating Officer

Brad joined MicroEnsure with 36 years' management experience in insurance. He spent 30 years with Continental Insurance, which later became CNA, where he performed a range of underwriting and management roles before moving to Berkley Insurance as regional Vice President for two years. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer of Sovereign Insurance Group. Brad holds a BS in Economics from North Dakota State University, an MA from Dallas Theological Seminary, and an MBA from Mankato State University.

Keith Weaver, Chief Finance and Administrative Officer

Keith joined the Micro Insurance Agency with 30 years professional experience in the insurance industry. As Chief Finance and Administrative Officer, Keith oversees finance, project management, MIS and strategic planning. Until his recent retirement, Keith served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Manulife Financial in Asia, a leading Canadian-based insurance services company operating in 15 countries and territories worldwide with more than $400 billion under management.

Dipanker 'Dubby' Mahalanobis, Chief Product Officer and Regional Director, Africa

Before joining MicroEnsure, Dubby served as Director of Business Development for APA Insurance Company in Kenya, where he led expansion into Uganda, Rwanda, and southern Sudan, and developed their product portfolio in bancassurance, brand assurance, microinsurance, and health insurance. He also worked as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Microcare Insurance and Health Limited in Uganda where he led the start-up of the Medical Insurance and Healthcare Finance Company.

Martin Fuller, Chief Technology Officer

Martin has considerable IT consulting, project and programme management experience with major blue chip and public sector organizations. He worked as Transformation Director, Government and Business Services with Mouchel Group plc, partnership Director, Bath & North East Somerset Council, and Managing Director, Archway Consulting Limited. He holds an MA Honours and an MPhil from Cambridge University.

Shadreck Mapfumo, Vice President, Agricultural

Shadreck directs all the agricultural insurance work in Africa and Asia. Since 2005, he has managed the organisation's partnership with the World Bank's Commodity Risk Management Group to develop weather index crop insurance, a partnership that has extended recently to include all of Eastern and Southern Africa. He holds an M.A. in Actuarial Studies from the Australian National University and a degree in Insurance and Risk management from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.

Steve Coffey, Vice President, Strategic Relations

Steve joined MicroEnsure with 20 years senior management experience within the commercial sector and 12 years engineering management experience with the Royal Air Force. Steve previously specialized in establishing new businesses for international blue chip companies, including Omron Corporation in Japan, Checkpoint Systems in the USA and most recently Avery Dennison Corporation in the USA. In his private capacity Steve also established two UK-based charities supporting street children in Kenya and is an active Trustee of the Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute, Kenya's largest independent technical college.
